The Orion Series is about putting an ordinary man in extraordinary circumstances and seeing where he comes out.

Daniel Shandon is that man. He is the son of a United States Secret Service Agent, Rod Leshan, who, in the beginning, is working on a special project for the President of the United States.

When Agent Leshan feels that he may be working on his last mission he calls his son Daniel to see him one last time. While with Daniel, Agent Leshan is assassinated. Daniel escapes and then becomes a target of the Orion Sector.

The Orion Sector is an intelligence group working under the guidance of Director Sexton. While it is a U.S. government group, it operates outside of the normal rules of engagement.
